MYERSTOWN ROD AND GUN ASSOCIATION
The original request for a PETITION FOR CHARTER AND D E C R E E was submitted to the Court of Common Pleas of Lebanon County on January 26, 1925. It was granted and filed as of February 23, 1925.
Original Charter Application:
The undersigned, all of whom are citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, have associated themselves together for the purpose, and upon the terms, and by the name hereinafter set forth, and desiring that they may duly be incorporated according to law, do hereby certify:
1. The name of the proposed corporation is the “Myerstown Rod and Gun Association”.
2. The purpose for which said corporation is formed is the maintenance of a Club for social enjoyments, and the furtherance thereof by the acquisition, furnishing and maintenance of a well-regulated clubhouse and grounds, affording facilities for the enjoyment of hunting, fishing, and other healthful sports, and athletic exercises, and pastime for the convenience and enjoyment of its members and others to whom the privileges of the club may be extended: and for the purpose of protecting game and fish, and restocking streams and woods with such game and fish, and generally to advance clean sportsmanship in gaming and fishing.
3. The business of said corporation is to be transacted in the Borough of Myerstown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
4. Said corporation shall have perpetual existence by its corporate name.

6. The business and affairs of said corporation shall be conducted by and under the control of five Trustees, a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer, and such other officers, agents and factors, as may from time to time be authorized by the corporation for that purpose.
7. The names and residences of those chosen to be officers and Trustees for the first year, and until their successors are duly elected are:

8. Said corporation shall have no capital stock nor shares of stock, but shall be maintained by such fees for membership and dues as shall be properly assessed under the provisions of the by-laws of the corporation, and by voluntary contributions of the members.
9. The said corporation will not sell, dispense or handle intoxicating liquors, nor permit such liquors to be sold, dispensed, handled or used upon any premises owned or controlled by it.
10. The yearly income of said corporation other than that derived from real estate, shall not exceed the sum of Twenty five hundred ($ 2,500) dollars.
